*During the initial printing of the New York Supplement by West, someone decided to include the Court of Appeals decisions in an appendix. Some of the New York Supplements include an appendix containing the text of the Court of Appeals decision. Some of them do not have the appendix. It simply depends on when the Library purchased the subscription. This publication pattern continued until 1920. Between the years of 1920 and 1955, West always included an appendix of Court of Appeals decisions with the NYS. It was not until 1956, however, that West fully integrated the Court of Appeals decisions into the main volumes of the NYS. One practical effect is that Shepardizing the early cites to the Court of Appeals in the NYS becomes more cumbersome. See table above.
